More 170-500mm photos over the last two mornings dog walk!

More practice with the new lens, I'm still not getting the results I want, but Hey! I keep experimenting! The following shots were taken mostly on my dog walk in Lower Cromane, the first few are from my bird table, the others are a mixture of, hard to photograph birds, and easier to photograph scenes.

Greater Spearwort

Our old friend the Black Backed Gull.

Young Black Backed Gull.

A Herring Gull.

Not sure on this one but looks like a Rock Pipit.

Little Egret.

Grey Heron.

Black backed Gulls, Mature and Young.

My Dog Beauty after a quick dip in the bay!

Close formation flying!

The Black backed Gulls just love crabs! their strong beaks easily break the shells.

Even on the road side splashes of colour stand out, and deserve a photo! The very shallow D.O.F
is very apparent in this photo, that's all ya get with long telephotos!

No, not another stick to throw Beauty!! she never stops!

Tide out, a boat on the mud flats, see later photos of tide in with reflections!

Patsy Teahan's Trawler.

Arthur McCarthy's Trawler

An old aluminium boat with fading paintwork.

John Joe Reilly's Oyster boat.

Here's the shot with the tide in! I liked the reflections!

I think it's a Reed Bunting? just sat and posed for this shot, 10ft away.

MacGillycuddy's Reeks under clouds.

Wow! the water was so still and calm, not a breath of wind, don't often see Cromane bay like this.

Horses still resting, its early morning so don't blame them!

A classic Cromane landscape!

Donnie McCarthy's boat.

Salmon fishing boats, seasons now finished, just as the Salmon are about.
