On this fine Christmas morning, a number of local Cromane area residents took part in a charity walk/run. The walk/run started at the Cromane GAA ground,  circled around lake road, then down past the school, back along the main road to the Star church, and finally on to the GAA pavilion. On completion of the walk/run, beverages for those taking part were passed out. The route was marshaled by local volunteers, and apart from the last few entrants, the weather stayed fine. The monies donated by the runners and walkers will go to the 'Killorglin Mental Health Association.
