SOUTH KERRY CAMERA CLUB NIGHT IN PARIS.
The camera club outing on Thursday 30th June, took the members to Paris, no not Paris France, Paris, Valentia Island. On a very rugged cliff edge, members risked life and limb to capture photos of the beautiful landscape, and the crashing sea below. Ten members turned up to this not to be missed place, and were seen to be hanging from or standing on ledges that circus performers would have been proud of. Some of my photos from the evening are shown below, and I concentrated mainly on misty telephoto shots in the 300-900mm region. A few focus issues in some of these long tele shots, with a 2x converter, ND8 & Polarising filters, the focusing was very difficult, excuses-excuses!!!!

The South Kerry Camera Club meeting and photo shoot was held at Derrynane House and beach. Seven members, along with professional photographer Michael Herrmann, turned up on a warm evening to take photos of the gardens and the old church on the cliffs at Derrynane beach. The evening was only marred by the activities of the midges, but a few applications of Jungle juice repellent helped keep them at bay. Micheal was sharing his expertise throughout the shoot, as well as extolling his knowledge on the gardens and church.
