Caragh Lake & Lough Acoose today!

My Photography study course required me to take a photo in full colour RAW correctly exposed, then optimise the raw file, and convert it to a jpg. then using one of Photoshops many Black & White methods of conversion, change it to a Black & White photo!

As the day was so nice, I took a trip around Caragh Lake to scout out some possible captures, the following are a few of my photos and conversions.

Caragh Lake

Have never seen the water as high in Caragh Lake

Raging torrents at Blackstones Bridge

The normal boat hire shed just below Blackstones bridge, even the jetty's completely under water. The water level is halfway up the boathouse!

Below Blackstones Bridge

Above Blackstones Bridge

Luckily this house below Blackstones bridge is on higher ground! only just above the water line, but the signs are that the level had been higher!

Water rushing below the Blackstones Bridge!

Upper Caragh reaches, where all this water is coming from!
