LOWER CROMANE
13-05-11
Lower Cromane ends in a peninsular where local fishermen carry out their daily tasks, involving the production of shellfish. The Cromane mussels are famous, and can usually be obtained in most local restaurants, although exports form the majority of the sales. As well as mussels, oysters are also a produce of the Cromane fishermen. The views from this peninsular are stunning, having the MacGillycuddy reeks and the Slieve Mish mountains, and often fantastic sunsets to photograph.
